Important Notice Regarding Patient Services and COVID-19
In an effort control the spread of COVID-19 Urogynecology of Kansas City will be temporarily limiting the number of patients we see in our office. We will continue to provide services to our patients on a modified schedule following CDC recommendations for patient safety.
The precautions we are taking include:
- Putting CDC recommended protocols in place to ensure the highest level of coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention.
- Conducting screening questions to identify patients for whom rescheduling would be best.
- Effective March 23rd we will postpone all surgical procedures until further noticed. If you are scheduled for surgery you will be contacted by our office in the order of upcoming procedures so we can effectively reach all patients in a timely manner.
Patients with currently scheduled appointments may be asked to reschedule or given the option to be seen via TeleHealth. We will limit the number of patients allowed in the office in the attempt to comply with social distancing guidelines. Patients will be allowed to be accompanied by one visitor only. Anyone accompanying the patient may be asked to return to their car and wait. We are not allowing children to accompany patients. Only essential staff members will be required to report to the office to work and will be screened daily before being allowed to work. Staff will continue to be available via phone and patient portal.
We will continue to monitor the situation through the CDC and other local and state agencies and we will adhere to their recommendations as they change. Our offices will resume normal hours as soon as we feel it is safe for our patients, staff, and community. We ask that you and your household continue to follow the recommendations of the local, state and federal agencies regarding social distancing and controlling the spread of COVID-19 and reserving resources for those most at risk.
We appreciate your patience during this time.
